Current permanent staff members in the New York office are:
Jacob Willemsen is the founder of New Amsterdam and has over ten years of experience with UN procurement and strategic consultancy for the US market, and is co-founder of the annual EU UN-Procurement Seminar, which New Amsterdam coordinates since 2003. He has a diverse network in and excellent knowledge of the procurement markets of the United Nations and the World Bank Group, as well as of the trade relations between the EU and US. In his previous position as UN and NGO Trade Officer at the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York, Jacob successfully managed to promote the Dutch private sector with the United Nations in New York. Maud Gosink joined New Amsterdam in 2008. Her main focus is within the services that New Amsterdam provides on the UN procurement market and World Bank Group. Maud has experience in improving interaction between public authorities and private businesses, knowledge sharing within and between companies and government, and conducted a number of market research projects in a diversity of international settings. Previous to joining New Amsterdam Maud has worked at the marketing dept. of an International air Terminal in New York where she designed and coordinated a consumer survey, organized media events and provided marketing support for the CCO. Before that she worked at an independent Dutch NGO where she promoted effective aviation policy. She wrote publications for press, public, and politicians, and consulted on new legislation and acted as liaison between the Dutch government and the industry. Contact Maud
Florence van den Bergh works at New Amsterdan since 2008. Her main focus is within the services that New Amsterdam offers on the US market. Florence has extensive commercial and international management experience. She jointly launched a start-up Global marketing agency in New York where she was a Managing Partner for over 5 years. She was responsible for business development; consisting of assisting US companies entering the European market and vice versa; consulting European companies entering the US marketplace. Before that, she was a Marketing consultant, at a New York marketing company, helping key accounts on entering the global market with respect to their direct marketing strategies. Furthermore she has conducted several marketing and consultancy projects for the Dutch Consulate in Houston and the Dutch Tourist Office in New York. Contact Florence
